[...] This week Santa Fe is at the hub of North American Sustainable agriculture as NGFN (National Good Food Network: www.ngfn.org ) and NSAC (National Sustainable Ag. Coalition: www.sustainableagriculture.net ) hold strategic planning sessions in our home town! Their decision to meet here is in part in recognition of the contributions of local Sustainable Agriculture leaders to the national scene. I encourage you to visit their web sites. I work for the NGFN as the coordinator of the Food Safety Committee, which is working to develop alternative, scale appropriate GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) solutions for small and medium sized farms. With NSAC I have been very active in supporting their advocacy and policy intervention in the food safety debate, as the Federal government wrestles with its responsibility to protect the American consumer by assuring that their food is as safe as possible while preserving opportunity for American farms of all scales. You might enjoy, if you haven’t seen it already, my “meet the farmer” TV interview on the food safety site and our blog CLICK HERE TO SEE THE SHOW [...]
